Redding Youth Soccer League, in conjunction with US Soccer and California North Referee Association (CNRA), will be presenting an Entry Level Referee Course for those interested in becoming certified youth soccer referees.
The time and dates are as follows:
There will be an Intro session on Monday, January 30 from 6:00-7:00 pm for those needing assistance registering, accessing the online video modules, taking the quizzes, etc.

The format for this course includes a pre-class room online portion, a class room portion, and a field session. The online component (approximately 2-3 hours) consists of 14 instructional videos, associated chapter quizzes, and a 50 question final exam. These must ALL be completed prior to the in-person Classroom (8 hours) and Field (4 hours) sessions . You will have two chances to pass the online final exam. If you are successful, there is no exam at the Course; if you are not successful after two online attempts, you must retake the exam during the classroom course portion.
The cost will be $10, payable to Redding Youth Soccer League. RYSL will rebate your $10 fee (upon request) after you referee one game for RYSL within the first playing season after your course. If successful in passing the certification exam, there will be an additional $45 charge payable to California North Referee Association (CNRA) that you can pay at the Course.

RYSL has two main registration periods. January for the Spring Season and May for the Fall Season of play. We notify all members via direct mail, the website, email, newspaper and other media outlets of the upcoming registration events.
